Job Summary
The Psychological Counselor will provide emotional and psychological support to individuals and couples undergoing fertility treatment. The role involves counseling patients through various stages of their fertility journey, helping them manage stress, anxiety, and emotional challenges while working closely with doctors and the clinical team.
Key Responsibilities
- Provide individual and couple counseling to patients undergoing fertility treatments.
- Assess patients' emotional and psychological well-being.
- Help patients cope with infertility-related stress, anxiety, depression, and treatment-related concerns.
- Conduct pre-treatment and post-treatment counseling sessions.
- Guide patients through decision-making regarding fertility treatment options.
- Maintain confidential patient records and counseling documentation.
- Collaborate with fertility specialists, clinicians, embryologists, and other healthcare professionals to ensure holistic patient care.
- Conduct awareness sessions and patient education programs when required.
- Ensure ethical counseling practices while maintaining patient confidentiality.
Qualifications
- Master's Degree in Psychology, Clinical Psychology, Counseling Psychology, or a related field.
- 1–5 years of experience in counseling, preferably in a hospital, healthcare, IVF,.
- Freshers with excellent communication and counseling skills may also apply.
Required Skills
- Excellent interpersonal and communication skills.
- Strong empathy and active listening abilities.
- Ability to build trust and rapport with patients.
- Emotional resilience and professionalism.
- Strong documentation and record-keeping skills.
- Proficiency in English, Hindi, and Gujarati is preferred.
