We’re currently looking for a high caliber professional to join our team as Chief Information Officer based in Mumbai, India. The job holder will report hierarchically and functionally to the Chief Transformation Officer of Ageas Federal Life Insurance (AFLI).
In this role you’re expected to:
To lead and drive the organisation’s technology strategy, overseeing critical IT subfunctions including Change Delivery & Digital Solutions, IT Applications, Enterprise Architecture, Data Engineering, Security, and IT Operations. The Chief Information Officer will support the business objectives of AFLI by ensuring ensure right-first-time delivery of technology solutions, improve time to market and delivery agility, enhance operational efficiency and customer experience. This role involves fostering innovation, maintaining robust cybersecurity measures, and optimizing IT infrastructure and data practices.
The Chief Information Officer is a member of the Senior Management Committee of the company and reports to the Chief Transformation Officer. The role holder will play a critical role in shaping the company’s technological vision, enabling digital growth, and ensuring sustainable and secure IT operations to support the organisation’s long-term success. This role involves driving digital transformation, ensuring the security and efficiency of IT operations, and aligning IT initiatives with business goals to enhance the company's competitive edge in the life insurance industry.
As a successful candidate you’d ideally have the following skills and exposure:
- Seasoned professional with at least 25+ years of experience in the Technology domain in the insurance/financial services sector, ideally in an agile environment.

Relevant academic qualifications or equivalent – A Bachelor’s degree or higher, Post Graduate qualification in Information Technology. Master’s in business administration or equivalent and Certified Project Management Professional (PMP) would be a plus.

Strong skills to proactively understand the new & emerging technologies and possibilities in the Fintech and Insurtech space.

Demonstrated experience in rolling out digital solutions, improving delivery agility and responsiveness of IT departments
