About the Role
Title : Asst/Deputy Manager – Buying
Department: Operations – Supply Chain
Location : Navi Mumbai- Nerul
Reports To : Manager Supply Planning & Buying
Material Buying:
-
Translate full month production plan into requisite RM & PM qty.

Plan, develop, implement and evaluate processes for material delivery from supplier to point of fit.

Day-to-day order management and management of deliveries

Analyze master production schedules to calculate exact raw material requirements and establish optimal inventory levels, prevent shortages and reduce excess inventory.

Track plan versus actual, discussion and fix the gaps with manufacturing team.

Identify supply shortages or logistics risks, creating mitigation plans to ensure continuity.

Rough cut capacity planning.

Act quickly to solve supply chain disruptions, material defects, or schedule changes to avoid production downtime.

Utilize ERP systems (like SAP) to maintain data accuracy and create KPI reports on vendor performance and inventory turnover.
Cross-functional Collaboration:

Partner with the procurement, warehouse, and production teams to align material flow with business goals.
Your Skills and Experience
- Education: Graduate BE/B-Tech + Master/MBA in supply chain management or Operations Management.

Experience: 4–5 years in supply chain, inventory control, or production planning.

Advantage:
- Proficiency in ERP/MRP systems (e.g., SAP S4 HANA) and advanced Microsoft Excel.

Strong ability to forecast demand and interpret supply chain metrics.

Excellent negotiation, problem-solving, and cross-functional communication abilities.

Demonstrated broad understanding of purchase and supply chain processes
