Salary: ₹12,000 – ₹15,000 per month (Based on Interview Performance & Experience)
Job Summary
Lucknow Builders is looking for a creative, detail-oriented, and passionate Interior Designer with a minimum of 1 year of professional experience in residential and commercial interior design. The ideal candidate should possess strong design, space planning, visualization, and project coordination skills, along with the ability to transform client requirements into practical and aesthetically pleasing interior spaces.
The Interior Designer will be responsible for conceptualizing and executing interior design projects, preparing layouts and 3D visualizations, selecting materials and finishes, coordinating with clients, vendors, contractors, and site teams, and ensuring projects are completed within the approved timeline and budget.
Key ResponsibilitiesInterior Design & Space Planning
- Develop creative and functional interior design concepts for residential and commercial projects.
- Prepare space planning layouts according to client requirements.
- Create mood boards, design concepts, and material presentations.
- Ensure efficient utilization of available space while maintaining aesthetics and functionality.
Design Development
- Prepare 2D layouts, working drawings, and detailed design plans.
- Create 3D models and realistic visualizations for client presentations.
- Prepare furniture layouts, false ceiling plans, electrical layouts, and elevation drawings.
- Modify designs based on client feedback and project requirements.
Client Coordination
- Meet clients to understand their design preferences, requirements, and budget.
- Present design concepts, material samples, and layouts professionally.
- Maintain regular communication with clients throughout the project.
- Ensure client satisfaction by delivering quality design solutions.
Site Coordination & Supervision
- Conduct site visits to monitor project progress and ensure design implementation.
- Coordinate with site engineers, contractors, carpenters, electricians, plumbers, and vendors.
- Resolve on-site design and execution issues promptly.
- Ensure work is executed according to approved drawings and specifications.
Material Selection & Vendor Coordination
- Select furniture, lighting, colour schemes, flooring, wallpapers, fabrics, and decorative materials.
- Coordinate with vendors and suppliers for timely procurement.
- Ensure quality standards are maintained during material selection and installation.
- Maintain proper records of material specifications and approvals.
Project Management
- Monitor project timelines and ensure timely completion.
- Coordinate multiple interior projects simultaneously.
- Maintain project documentation and design revisions.
- Ensure projects remain within the approved budget.
Documentation & Reporting
- Prepare BOQ (Bill of Quantities) and material specifications whenever required.
- Maintain project files, drawings, quotations, and client approvals.
- Prepare daily, weekly, and monthly project progress reports.
- Report project updates regularly to senior management.
Required Skills
- Strong knowledge of residential and commercial interior design.
- Excellent space planning and interior styling skills.
- Proficiency in AutoCAD, SketchUp, 3ds Max, V-Ray, Lumion, or similar design software.
- Knowledge of Photoshop and MS Office will be an added advantage.
- Understanding of furniture design, lighting, colour theory, and material selection.
- Good knowledge of modular furniture and interior finishes.
- Strong communication, presentation, and client handling skills.
- Ability to read architectural and interior drawings.
- Excellent creativity, visualization, and problem-solving abilities.
- Strong organizational and time management skills.
Eligibility
- Bachelor's Degree or Diploma in Interior Design, Architecture, or a related field.
- Minimum 1 year of experience as an Interior Designer.
- Experience in residential, commercial, office, retail, or hospitality projects will be preferred.
- Candidate should be a resident of Lucknow or willing to relocate.
- Immediate joiners will be preferred.
Mandatory Requirements
- Minimum 1 year of professional experience in Interior Design is mandatory.
- Strong knowledge of AutoCAD and interior design software.
- Ability to prepare 2D drawings and 3D visualizations.
- Willingness to visit project sites whenever required.
- Must coordinate effectively with clients, vendors, contractors, and site teams.
- Should maintain professionalism, punctuality, and confidentiality.
- Must follow company policies and quality standards.
