We are looking for a proactive and customer-focused Desktop Support Engineer to provide onsite and remote technical support for desktops, laptops, printers, and IT peripherals. The ideal candidate should have experience in troubleshooting hardware and software issues, installing operating systems, configuring networks, and supporting end users in a corporate environment.
Key Responsibilities
- Install, configure, and troubleshoot desktops, laptops, and workstations.
- Install and configure Windows operating systems and standard business applications.
- Diagnose and resolve hardware, software, printer, and peripheral issues.
- Provide onsite and remote support to end users.
- Configure Outlook, Microsoft Office, Teams, and other enterprise applications.
- Install, configure, and troubleshoot printers, scanners, and other IT devices.
- Perform hardware replacement and upgrades such as RAM, SSD/HDD, keyboards, batteries, and power supplies.
- Configure LAN, Wi-Fi, TCP/IP, DNS, DHCP, and network connectivity.
- Create and manage user accounts in Active Directory (basic level).
- Configure email clients and support Microsoft 365 users.
- Handle IT asset installation, tagging, and inventory updates.
- Perform preventive maintenance and routine health checks.
- Coordinate with vendors for hardware warranty and service support.
- Log, track, and resolve incidents through the IT Service Management (ITSM) tool.
- Maintain documentation of service requests and resolutions.
- Ensure compliance with IT security policies and procedures.
Required Skills
- Strong knowledge of Windows 10/11 installation and troubleshooting.
- Experience with desktop and laptop hardware troubleshooting.
- Knowledge of Microsoft Office and Microsoft 365.
- Basic understanding of Active Directory and Group Policy.
- Networking fundamentals (TCP/IP, DNS, DHCP, LAN, Wi-Fi).
- Printer installation and troubleshooting.
- Experience with remote support tools.
- Good communication and customer support skills.
- Ability to work independently and meet SLA timelines.
Preferred Skills
- Experience with ITSM tools such as ServiceNow, ManageEngine, Jira, or BMC Remedy.
- Basic knowledge of antivirus, endpoint security, and BitLocker.
- Knowledge of VPN configuration and remote connectivity.
- Experience supporting enterprise IT environments.
Educational Qualification
- Diploma or Bachelor's Degree in Computer Science, Information Technology, Electronics, or a related field.
- Relevant certifications such as CompTIA A+, Microsoft, or Google IT Support are an added advantage.
Pay: ₹15,000.00 - ₹18,000.00 per month
