Job Summary
We are looking for a detail-oriented and responsible Accounts Assistant to support the Accounts Department in managing daily financial operations. The ideal candidate should have knowledge of hotel accounting procedures, GST, TDS, vendor payments, and accounting software. The candidate should ensure accurate financial records and timely processing of all accounting transactions.
Key Responsibilities
- Record daily financial transactions in the accounting system.
- Maintain cash, bank, and petty cash records.
- Prepare and process vendor payments.
- Verify purchase invoices and maintain supplier accounts.
- Reconcile bank statements, guest ledgers, and accounts receivable/payable.
- Assist in preparing daily revenue reports and night audit reconciliation.
- Process employee reimbursements and assist with payroll documentation.
- Maintain GST, TDS, and other statutory records.
- Prepare monthly financial reports and assist during audits.
- Coordinate with Front Office, F&B, Housekeeping, Purchase, and Stores for financial documentation.
- Monitor outstanding payments and follow up with debtors.
- Maintain proper filing of vouchers, invoices, and financial records.
- Ensure compliance with company policies and accounting standards.
Required Qualifications
- Bachelor's degree in Commerce (B.Com), Accounting, or Finance.
- 1–3 years of experience in hotel or hospitality accounting preferred.
- Freshers with strong accounting knowledge may also apply.
Required Skills
- Knowledge of accounting principles.
- Experience with Tally ERP, Busy, or hotel PMS/accounting software.
- Good knowledge of Microsoft Excel.
- Understanding of GST, TDS, and basic taxation.
- Strong numerical and analytical skills.
- Good communication and organizational abilities.
- Ability to maintain confidentiality and accuracy.
Preferred Experience
- Experience in hotel or resort accounting.
- Knowledge of daily revenue reconciliation.
- Familiarity with POS billing systems and property management systems (PMS).
