Position: Sales Engineer
Job Description:
A Sales Engineer in a control valve manufacturing company drives B2B technical sales, business development, and customer relationship management for industries like power, oil & gas, and chemicals. Responsibilities include sizing/selecting valves, negotiating contracts, and achieving revenue targets, requiring strong process engineering knowledge.
Key Responsibilities:
- Business Development: Actively generate leads, visit customers, and develop new business opportunities with OEMs, EPCs, and end-users.
- Technical Sales & Application: Understand customer processes, review technical specifications/P&IDs, and provide optimized control valve solutions.
- Proposal Management: Conduct valve sizing, prepare technical/commercial offers, and submit detailed quotations in compliance with standards.
- Negotiation & Closing: Lead technical discussions and price negotiations, ensuring profitable sales targets are met.
- Customer Relationship: Manage key accounts, providing technical presentations and addressing customer complaints efficiently.
- Market Intelligence: Provide regular sales forecasts, track competitors, and report on market trends.
Required Qualifications & Skills:
- Education: Bachelor’s degree in Mechanical/Electrical/E&I/etc.
- Experience: 2-4 years of experience in technical sales, specifically with control valves, industrial valves, or flow control equipment.
- Technical Skills: Ability to read P&IDs, and knowledge of actuator technologies.
- Soft Skills: Excellent negotiation, presentation, and relationship-building abilities.
- Mobility: Willingness to travel extensively to visit customer sites.
Preferred Qualifications:
- Experience with specific industries like Chemical , Pharma , API ,Petro chemical .
- Familiarity with international valve standards (e.g., API, ASME,)
