Job Summary:
The PPC Manager is responsible for planning, scheduling, monitoring, and controlling production activities to ensure on-time delivery, optimum resource utilization, inventory control, and customer satisfaction while maintaining quality and cost targets.
Key Roles & Responsibilities1. Production Planning
- Prepare daily, weekly, and monthly production plans based on customer requirements.
- Develop production schedules considering machine capacity, manpower, and material availability.
- Balance production load across departments.
2. Production Control
- Monitor production progress against the plan.
- Identify production delays and implement corrective actions.
- Ensure adherence to production schedules.
3. Material Planning
- Coordinate with Stores and Purchase to ensure timely availability of raw materials.
- Monitor inventory levels to avoid shortages and excess stock.
- Plan material requirements based on production forecasts.
4. Customer Order Management
- Review customer schedules and delivery commitments.
- Prioritize production based on customer urgency.
- Ensure on-time delivery (OTD) performance.
5. Capacity Planning
- Analyze machine and manpower capacity.
- Recommend overtime, additional shifts, or subcontracting when required.
- Optimize equipment utilization.
6. Coordination with Departments
- Work closely with:
- Production
- Quality
- Purchase
- Stores
- Tool Room
- Maintenance
- Logistics
- Resolve production and material-related issues promptly.
7. Inventory Control
- Monitor WIP (Work-in-Progress).
- Maintain optimum levels of raw materials, WIP, and finished goods.
- Reduce excess inventory while preventing stock-outs.
8. ERP/MRP Management
- Update production plans in ERP/MRP systems.
- Ensure accurate production and inventory records.
- Generate planning and production reports.
9. Continuous Improvement
- Improve production planning accuracy.
- Reduce production lead time.
- Eliminate bottlenecks and improve workflow.
- Support Lean Manufacturing and Kaizen initiatives.
10. Reporting & Analysis
- Prepare daily production reports.
- Analyze production efficiency and schedule adherence.
- Present KPIs to management.
Pay: ₹19,506.21 - ₹67,307.66 per month
