We are looking for an experienced quality leader to manage end-to-end production and quality operations across machine shop and forging processes. The ideal candidate will have hands-on expert incoming inspection, audit compliance, and customer quality management, along with a strong track record of leading large inspection teams and resolving customer complaints through structured RCA and CAPA.

Lead and manage a team of 30+ quality inspectors across incoming, in-process, and final inspection stages.

Coach, mentor, and evaluate team performance to maintain high inspection standards.

Build a culture of continuous improvement, accountability, and quality ownership across shifts.

Ensure quality compliance in forging operations, covering dimensional accuracy, surface finish, and metallurgical properties.

Monitor heat treatment processes and verify hardness, microstructure, and mechanical property compliance.

Monitor heat treatment processes (hardening, tempering, normalizing, annealing) and verify hardness, microstructure, and metallurgical properties as per specifications.

Monitor critical quality checkpoints across CNC, VMC, Wire Cut EDM, Honing and conventional machining processes.

Partner with production teams to identify deviations and drive corrective actions on the shop floor.

Define and maintain inspection protocols and acceptance criteria aligned with engineering drawings and customer specifications.

Ensure & Monitor CMM (Coordinate Measuring Machine) inspection for critical dimensional verification of machined and forged components.

Inspection activities, incoming inspection, and in-process inspection.

Drive CMM inspection programming, programming review, and reporting to ensure accurate dimensional and geometrical compliance.

Ensure timely calibration and validation of all inspection tools and testing equipment.

Drive readiness and compliance for NABL accreditation of the in-house testing laboratory.

Maintain SOPs, audit documentation, and compliance records.

Lead structured Root Cause Analysis (RCA) and Corrective & Preventive Action (CAPA) for customer complaints and internal non-conformities.

Prepare and present quality reports, dashboards, and performance reviews to customers and senior management.

Support customer technical audits, quality approvals, and continuous performance improvement initiatives.

Track and report key quality metrics, non-conformities, and audit outcomes to top management.

Use ERP systems to record inspection results, track non-conformities, and generate quality reports and dashboards.

Collaborate with production, engineering, and customer-facing teams to align on quality objectives.

Maintain documentation in line with ISO, and customer-specific quality requirements.

Education: B.E. / B.Tech in Mechanical, Production, Metallurgy, or a related engineering discipline.

Experience: Minimum 15 years in Quality Management within manufacturing/engineering industries, with significant exposure to machine shop and forging operations.

Hands-on experience with CMM inspection, programming, and dimensional reporting is essential.

Working knowledge of ERP systems for quality module management, NCR tracking, and reporting.

Exposure to Wire Cut EDM processes, Honing process and quality checks for precision-cut components.

Strong understanding of heat treatment processes and their impact on metallurgical and mechanical properties.
