About the Role
We are looking for a Backup Engineer (L2) with strong expertise in Veeam Backup & Replication to manage enterprise backup, recovery, disaster recovery, and data protection operations across virtual, physical, cloud, and Microsoft 365 environments.

Key Responsibilities
Monitor and manage backup, replication, and recovery operations.
Troubleshoot backup issues and perform Root Cause Analysis (RCA).
Execute VM, file-level, application-aware, database, and granular recovery operations.
Configure and manage Backup Jobs, Backup Copy Jobs, Replication Jobs, SOBR, SureBackup, and Hardened Linux Repositories.
Manage Veeam Agents, Protection Groups, and plugin-based backups.
Administer tape backup infrastructure, retention policies, backup, and restore operations.
Configure and monitor cloud backups for AWS, Azure, and Microsoft 365.
Conduct DR drills, failover/failback testing, and backup validation activities.
Monitor backup environments using Veeam ONE and maintain operational documentation.
Coordinate with storage, virtualization, networking, and application teams for issue resolution.
Preferred Educational Qualification & Skills
B.Sc. IT, BCA, BE, B.Tech, MCA, or equivalent qualification.
3–5 years of experience in Backup Administration with Veeam environments.
Hands-on experience with Veeam Backup & Replication, Veeam ONE, and Veeam Backup for Microsoft 365.
Experience with backup, replication, disaster recovery, and cloud integration.
Knowledge of Tape Libraries, Media Pools, GFS Retention, and Restore Operations.
Understanding of Windows Server, Linux Administration, SAN/NAS Storage, iSCSI, and Fibre Channel.
Knowledge of DNS, DHCP, VLANs, Firewalls, and Networking fundamentals.
Basic PowerShell scripting knowledge.
Strong troubleshooting, documentation, communication, and coordination skills.
