Job Title: VMC Operator & Setter
Key Responsibilities:
- Set up VMC machines according to production requirements.
- Load and unload raw materials and finished components.
- Install and align cutting tools, fixtures, and workpieces.
- Read and interpret engineering drawings and process sheets.
- Perform first-piece inspection and in-process quality checks.
- Measure components using vernier calipers, micrometers, and gauges.
- Monitor machine performance and make necessary adjustments.
- Troubleshoot minor machine and tooling issues.
- Maintain production records and inspection reports.
Required Skills:
- Knowledge of CNC/VMC machine operation and setup.
- Ability to read engineering drawings and GD&T basics.
- Understanding of cutting tools, speeds, and feeds.
- Experience with measuring instruments.
Qualification:
- ITI / Diploma in Mechanical Engineering or related field.
- Experience: 1–5 years (depending on company requirements).
- Knowledge of Fanuc, Siemens, or Mitsubishi CNC controls.
