Job Summary:
The Electroplating Operator is responsible for carrying out electroplating processes on metal components as per defined quality standards. The role involves handling chemicals, operating plating equipment, monitoring process parameters, and ensuring proper surface finishing.
Key Responsibilities:
- Perform electroplating processes such as Nickel, Chrome, Zinc, or other coatings as per job requirements
- Prepare components for plating (cleaning, degreasing, pickling, rinsing, etc.)
- Operate plating baths, rectifiers, and related equipment
- Monitor process parameters like current, voltage, temperature, and time
- Ensure proper chemical composition and maintain plating bath solutions
- Conduct visual inspection of plated components for quality and finish
- Maintain production records and log sheets
- Follow work instructions, SOPs, and quality standards
- Handle and store chemicals safely as per safety guidelines
- Maintain cleanliness and 5S in the work area
Required Skills:
- Basic knowledge of electroplating processes and chemicals
- Understanding of surface finishing techniques
