Job Summary
We are seeking a passionate and knowledgeable Data Science & Data Analytics Faculty member to join our academic team at VisionExa. The ideal candidate will be responsible for delivering high-quality instruction, mentoring students, and developing a cutting-edge curriculum that aligns with 2026 industry standards. You will bridge the gap between theoretical data science concepts and real-world business applications, preparing our students for successful careers in the data-driven economy.
Key Responsibilities
- Instructional Delivery: Conduct engaging lectures and hands-on laboratory sessions on topics including Statistical Modeling, Machine Learning, Big Data Analytics, and Predictive Modeling.
- Curriculum Development: Design and update course modules to include modern tools and techniques such as Generative AI integration, MLOps, and advanced Cloud Data Warehousing.
- Student Mentorship: Guide students through capstone projects, providing technical support in data cleaning, exploratory data analysis (EDA), and model deployment.
- Assessment & Evaluation: Create and grade assignments, quizzes, and industry-style case studies to evaluate student progress and provide constructive feedback.
- Technical Leadership: Stay abreast of emerging trends in AI/ML and ensure the curriculum remains competitive and industry-relevant.
Required Skills & Qualifications
- Educational Background: A Master’s or Ph.D. in Data Science, Statistics, Computer Science, or a related quantitative field.
- Technical Proficiency:
- Languages: Expert-level proficiency in Python (Pandas, Scikit-learn, PyTorch/TensorFlow) and SQL.
- Tools: Hands-on experience with Tableau, Power BI, and cloud platforms (AWS/Azure/GCP).
- Concepts: Deep understanding of supervised/unsupervised learning, NLP, and neural networks.
- Teaching Experience: Minimum of 1–3 years of experience in teaching or corporate training in the data domain preferred.
- Communication: Exceptional ability to explain complex technical concepts to learners with varying levels of expertise.
Preferred Qualifications
- Prior experience working as a Data Scientist or Analyst in a corporate environment.
- Certifications in advanced analytics or cloud data engineering.
- Familiarity with Agile methodologies and collaborative tools like GitHub and Jira.
