We are looking for an experienced and motivated Sous Chef to join our kitchen team in Pune. The ideal candidate should have strong leadership skills, excellent knowledge of kitchen operations, and the ability to maintain consistency and quality during high-volume service.
Key Responsibilities
- Assist the Head Chef in managing day-to-day kitchen operations
- Lead and supervise the kitchen team during prep and service
- Ensure consistency in food quality, taste, presentation, and portioning
- Maintain and enforce standard recipes, kitchen SOPs, and hygiene standards
- Manage mise en place and ensure all sections are service-ready
- Monitor inventory, stock levels, food costs, and wastage
- Train, guide, and supervise junior kitchen staff
- Ensure proper storage, labelling, and handling of ingredients
- Coordinate with the Head Chef on menu execution and kitchen requirements
- Take responsibility for kitchen operations in the Head Chef's absence
Requirements
- Minimum 4–6 years of experience in a professional restaurant kitchen
- Prior experience in a supervisory or leadership role
- Strong understanding of kitchen operations and service management
- Excellent organisational and team-management skills
- Ability to work calmly and efficiently in a fast-paced environment
- Strong focus on discipline, consistency, cleanliness, and attention to detail
- Willingness to work flexible shifts, weekends, and holidays
