Key Responsibilities
- Operate Vertical Machining Center (VMC) machines as per production requirements.
- Load and unload raw materials and finished components safely.
- Read and interpret engineering drawings, process sheets, and work instructions.
- Set machine offsets and perform tool changes as required.
- Monitor machining operations to ensure dimensional accuracy and surface finish.
- Perform in-process inspections using measuring instruments such as Vernier Calipers, Micrometers, Height Gauges, Bore Gauges, and Dial Indicators.
- Maintain production records and inspection reports.
- Identify machining issues and report abnormalities to the Supervisor or Production Engineer.
- Follow 5S, safety, and quality procedures on the shop floor.
- Perform routine machine cleaning and preventive maintenance activities.
- Ensure optimum utilization of machines and minimize material wastage.
Required Qualifications
- ITI (Machinist) or Diploma in Mechanical Engineering.
- Certification in VMC operation is an added advantage.
Pay: ₹20,000.00 - ₹30,000.00 per month
