Job Summary
We are seeking an experienced and proactive Production Supervisor to oversee day-to-day production activities in the shipyard. The candidate will be responsible for supervising manpower, monitoring production progress, ensuring quality and safety standards, and achieving production targets within the planned schedule.
Key Responsibilities
- Supervise and coordinate daily production activities in the shipyard.
- Allocate manpower, materials, tools, and equipment based on production requirements.
- Monitor work progress and ensure production targets are achieved on time.
- Coordinate fabrication, fitting, welding, erection, piping, mechanical, or other production activities.
- Read and interpret engineering drawings and work instructions.
- Ensure all work is carried out as per approved drawings, specifications, and quality standards.
- Monitor workforce productivity and take corrective actions to improve efficiency.
- Coordinate with Production Managers, Engineers, QC/QA, Planning, and other departments.
- Ensure availability of required materials and resources for uninterrupted production.
- Identify production bottlenecks and resolve operational issues.
- Enforce safety procedures and ensure the proper use of PPE.
- Conduct toolbox talks and guide workers on safe working practices.
- Prepare daily production reports and update management on work progress.
- Maintain discipline, housekeeping, and productivity within the assigned area.
- Ensure compliance with company policies and project requirements.
Qualification
- Diploma / ITI / Bachelor's Degree in Mechanical Engineering, Marine Engineering, Production Engineering, or relevant discipline.
- Technical knowledge of fabrication, welding, structural works, piping, or mechanical production is preferred.

5–10 years of relevant experience, preferably in:
- Shipbuilding
