Essential Qualification
- Bachelor's Degree in the relevant discipline or Three-year Diploma in the relevant branch of Engineering/Technology from a recognized University/Institution.
- For IT Laboratory: B.Tech./B.E./BCA/B.Sc. (Computer Science/IT)/ MCA or Diploma in Computer Science/Information Technology.
- For Electronics Laboratory: B.Tech./B.E./Diploma in Electronics & Communication Engineering, Electronics Engineering, or a related discipline.
- For Physics Laboratory: B.Sc./M.Sc. in Physics or an equivalent qualification.
Desirable Qualification
- Knowledge of laboratory equipment handling, calibration, maintenance, and troubleshooting.
- Proficiency in MS Office, Google Workspace, laboratory documentation, and inventory management.
- Familiarity with laboratory safety protocols and standard operating procedures.
- Experience with ERP/Laboratory Management Systems will be an added advantage.
- Good communication and interpersonal skills.
Experience
- Freshers with excellent academic records may be considered.
- 1–3 years of experience in a university, college, research laboratory, or industrial laboratory is preferred.
- Experience in maintaining laboratory equipment, preparing practical sessions, inventory management, and assisting faculty in laboratory instruction will be an added advantage.
Key Responsibilities
- Prepare laboratories, equipment, and consumables before practical classes.
- Assist faculty members during laboratory sessions, workshops, and student projects.
- Maintain laboratory equipment and coordinate preventive maintenance and repairs.
- Ensure proper documentation of laboratory records, stock registers, and consumable inventories.
- Follow laboratory safety guidelines and maintain cleanliness and organization of the laboratory.
- Support procurement, installation, verification, and maintenance of laboratory equipment.
- Assist students with laboratory experiments and project work under faculty supervision.
- Coordinate laboratory logistics for examinations, demonstrations, accreditation visits, and academic events.
- Perform any other laboratory and technical duties assigned by the Head of the Department or University authorities.
