An ITI Electrician specializing in cable and wire industrial work focuses on cable laying, glanding and termination, and panel wiring. Candidates need an ITI in the Electrician trade, blueprints reading skills, and industrial safety compliance.
Key Responsibilities
- Cable Management: Perform cable laying, pulling, routing, and proper installation of heavy-duty cable trays and conduits.
- Termination & Jointing: Execute precise cable glanding, wire stripping, terminal soldering, and HT/LT cable termination.
- Panel Wiring: Assemble and wire industrial control panels, MCC (Motor Control Center), PCC, and distribution boards.
- Testing & Fault Finding: Use tools like a Megger or multimeter to test continuity, insulation resistance, and loop checks to identify electrical faults. [1, 2, 3, 4, 5]
Requirements & Skills
- Qualification: Pass in ITI Electrician trade (NCVT/SCVT approved).
- Technical Knowledge: Ability to read and interpret complex electrical blueprints, single-line diagrams (SLD), and schematics.
- Safety & Compliance: Strict adherence to industrial safety rules, earthing standards, and personal protective equipment (PPE) guidelines
