Role Summary
Responsible for ensuring the quality of incoming materials, in-process manufacturing activities, PCB/product assembly, mechanical assemblies, testing, and final/dispatch inspection. The role will also drive quality documentation, defect analysis, corrective actions, and continuous improvement.
Key Responsibilities
- Incoming Quality Control (IQC)
- Inspect incoming electronic, electrical and mechanical components as per drawings, specifications and inspection plans.
- Verify part number, quantity, dimensions, workmanship and required quality documents/COC.
- Identify, document and control non-conforming materials.
- In-Process Quality Control (IPQC)
- Monitor quality at various stages of PCB assembly, soldering, wiring, mechanical assembly, product assembly and testing.
- Ensure production activities are carried out as per approved drawings, SOPs, work instructions and quality standards.
- Identify defects at the earliest stage and prevent their movement to subsequent processes.
- Final & Outgoing Quality Control (FQC/OQC)
- Perform final inspection and functional verification of finished products.
- Ensure products meet defined specifications before dispatch.
- Verify product configuration, labelling, accessories, documentation and packaging requirements.
- Quality Problem Solving
- Investigate internal and customer-reported quality issues.
- Perform Root Cause Analysis (RCA) and recommend corrective/preventive actions.
- Monitor implementation and effectiveness of CAPA.
- Quality Planning & Improvement
- Prepare and maintain inspection plans, quality checklists and process controls.
- Identify quality bottlenecks and recommend improvement actions.
- Support continuous improvement initiatives to reduce defects, rework and rejection.
- Quality Documentation
- Prepare and maintain SOPs, Work Instructions, Inspection Formats, Check Sheets, NCR reports and Quality Records.
- Maintain proper product/batch/serial-number traceability.
- Ensure quality records are complete and available for audits.
- Quality Data & KPI Monitoring
- Collect and analyse quality data related to rejection, rework, defects and customer complaints.
- Track key quality KPIs and prepare periodic quality reports.
- Present quality performance and major issues to management.
- Cross-Functional Coordination
- Coordinate with Production, Engineering, R&D, Stores and Procurement for resolution of quality issues.
- Work closely with the Product Development/Engineering team during new product introduction, prototypes and engineering changes.
- Audit & Compliance Support
- Support internal, customer and supplier quality audits.
Required Skills
- Strong understanding of QA/QC processes in electronics manufacturing.
- Hands-on knowledge of PCB assembly, soldering, wiring and electronic product assembly.
- Ability to read and understand electrical/electronic schematics, BOMs, drawings and specifications.
- Strong documentation skills with experience in SOPs, inspection formats and quality reports.
- Good analytical and problem-solving ability.
- Good communication and interpersonal skills.
- Ability to work independently as well as part of a cross-functional team.
- Good time-management and organizational skills.
Pay: ₹35,000.00 - ₹40,000.00 per month
