The Estimation Engineer is responsible for preparing accurate cost estimates and proposals for fire alarm, fire suppression, and other fire safety projects. The role ensures competitive and compliant bids through technical analysis, site assessments, and coordination with internal and external stakeholders.
Key Responsibilities:
- Review and analyze drawings, specifications, and tender documents to understand project scope.
- Conduct site visits to assess existing conditions for precise estimation.
- Prepare detailed cost estimates including materials, labor, equipment, and subcontractor costs.
- Develop technical and commercial proposals, BOQs, and compliance sheets.
- Request and evaluate supplier/vendor quotations and negotiate competitive pricing.
- Coordinate with sales, engineering, and project teams to finalize proposals.
- Participate in bid meetings and support client negotiations.
- Maintain proper documentation of estimates and prepare periodic reports.
- Stay updated on fire safety standards, technologies, and industry trends.
