Accountant
Job Summary
We are seeking a detail-oriented and experienced Accountant to manage the organization's end-to-end accounting operations. The ideal candidate will be responsible for maintaining accurate financial records, ensuring statutory compliance, preparing financial reports, and supporting the company's financial planning and decision-making.
Key Responsibilities
- Manage day-to-day accounting and bookkeeping activities.
- Maintain general ledger, journals, and books of accounts.
- Handle accounts payable and accounts receivable.
- Prepare and process invoices, payments, receipts, and vouchers.
- Perform bank, vendor, customer, and ledger reconciliations.
- Manage cash flow and monitor daily financial transactions.
- Prepare monthly, quarterly, and annual financial statements.
- Ensure timely GST compliance, including GSTR-1, GSTR-3B, annual returns, e-invoicing, and e-way bills where applicable.
- Calculate, deduct, deposit, and file TDS returns and ensure compliance with Income Tax regulations.
- Prepare payroll and ensure compliance with PF, ESI, Professional Tax, and other statutory requirements (where applicable).
- Coordinate with auditors, tax consultants, banks, and government authorities.
- Assist in budgeting, forecasting, and financial planning.
- Prepare MIS reports and provide financial insights to management.
- Maintain fixed asset records and depreciation schedules.
- Ensure compliance with accounting standards, company policies, and statutory regulations.
- Maintain accurate documentation and support internal and external audits.
Required Qualifications
- Bachelor's degree in Commerce (B.Com), Accounting, Finance, or a related field.
- 3–5 years of experience in accounting and finance.
- Strong knowledge of GST, TDS, Income Tax, and statutory compliance.
- Proficiency in Tally Prime, Busy, Zoho Books, or similar accounting software.
- Advanced knowledge of Microsoft Excel.
- Strong analytical, organizational, and problem-solving skills.
- High attention to detail and accuracy.
Preferred Skills
- Experience in inventory accounting and cost accounting.
- Knowledge of payroll processing and statutory deductions.
- Ability to work independently and meet deadlines.
- Strong communication and interpersonal skills.
Key Performance Indicators (KPIs)
- Accurate and timely financial reporting.
- On-time statutory filings (GST, TDS, PF, ESI, etc.).
- Accurate reconciliations and bookkeeping.
- Effective cash flow management.
- Audit readiness and compliance with statutory requirements.
- Timely preparation of MIS reports and management dashboards.
