Title: Social Studies (SST) Teacher
Job Summary:
The Social Studies Teacher is responsible for planning, preparing, and delivering engaging lessons in subjects such as History, Geography, Civics, and Economics, while fostering critical thinking, global awareness, and analytical skills among students.
Key Responsibilities:
1. Teaching & Learning
- Plan and deliver effective Social Studies lessons aligned with the school curriculum.
- Teach core areas such as History, Geography, Civics, and Economics.
- Use diverse teaching strategies including discussions, projects, case studies, and experiential learning.
- Encourage critical thinking and inquiry-based learning among students.
2. Curriculum Planning
- Prepare lesson plans, worksheets, and assessments aligned with curriculum standards.
- Integrate current affairs, global perspectives, and interdisciplinary learning into lessons.
- Contribute to curriculum development and academic planning.
3. Assessment & Evaluation
- Design and conduct formative and summative assessments.
- Evaluate student performance and maintain academic records.
- Provide constructive feedback to support student improvement.
4. Classroom Management
- Maintain a positive, respectful, and inclusive classroom environment.
- Manage student behavior effectively while encouraging participation and collaboration.
5. Student Development
- Support students in developing research, analytical, and presentation skills.
- Encourage participation in debates, Model United Nations, quizzes, and social science exhibitions.
6. Collaboration & Communication
- Work closely with colleagues, coordinators, and school leadership.
- Communicate regularly with parents regarding student progress.
- Participate in school meetings, training sessions, and professional development programs.
Qualifications:
- Bachelor’s/Master’s degree in Social Studies, History, Geography, Political Science, or related field
- Bachelor of Education (B.Ed.)
- Prior teaching experience in CBSE / ICSE / IB / Cambridge curriculum preferred.

Pay: ₹14,421.61 - ₹40,000.00 per month
