Key Responsibilities:
- Perform mechanical quality control in a manufacturing environment, preferably in precision sheet metal, industrial enclosures, or heavy electrical equipment.
- Inspect components such as enclosures, frames, busbars, heat sinks, brackets, and fasteners as per engineering drawings.
- Perform dimensional inspections using vernier caliper, micrometer, height gauge, and basic CMM.
- Read and understand engineering drawings and GD&T.
- Conduct in-process inspections during assembly and check weld quality, surface finish, and IP rating of BESS enclosures.
- Check sheet-metal fabrication and powder-coating quality.
- Identify and document non-conformances, raise quality alerts, and coordinate rejection/disposition.
- Maintain calibration records for measuring instruments.
- Support FMEA reviews and control-plan preparation for mechanical assemblies.
- Coordinate with vendors on mechanical quality issues and support supplier audits.
- Maintain inspection and NCR records.
Requirements:
- 3 +Years of experience in Mechanical Quality Control in manufacturing.
- Good knowledge of sheet-metal fabrication, welding, powder coating, and IP ingress protection.
- GD&T (Geometric Dimensioning and Tolerancing) preferred.
- Strong understanding of engineering drawings, GD&T, and basic CAD drawing reading (AutoCAD or similar).
- Good working knowledge of MS Excel, MS Word, and quality/NCR documentation.
- Good attention to detail, documentation, and problem-solving skills.
