Job Title: Credit Officer

Job Summary
We are looking for a Credit Officer to assess the creditworthiness of chit subscribers, verify documents, conduct field investigations, and support collections and recovery activities. The ideal candidate should have strong analytical skills and experience in credit assessment, banking, NBFC, microfinance, or chit fund operations.
Key Responsibilities
- Evaluate the financial capacity and repayment ability of subscribers.
- Verify KYC, income, address, and other supporting documents.
- Conduct field visits and customer verification.
- Assess guarantors and security requirements.
- Monitor overdue accounts and support collection activities.
- Assist in recovery and NPA collection processes.
- Prepare credit assessment reports and MIS reports.
- Ensure compliance with company policies and regulatory requirements.
- Coordinate with branch teams for prize money disbursement and credit-related matters.
Qualifications
- Bachelor's Degree in Commerce, Finance, Business Administration, Economics, or a related field.
Experience
- 2–5 years of experience in Credit, Banking, NBFC, Microfinance, or Chit Fund operations.
- Experience in field verification and customer due diligence is preferred.
Required Skills
- Credit appraisal and financial analysis.
- Knowledge of KYC and regulatory compliance.
- Good communication and negotiation skills.
- Proficiency in MS Office.
- Strong attention to detail and problem-solving abilities.
