Job Responsibilities
- Create and develop technical content for automotive products and systems
- Prepare installation manuals, user manuals, service guides, and technical documentation
- Create or edit accurate technical illustrations including:
- Wire routing diagrams
- Component layouts
- Assembly illustrations
- Ensure all procedures and instructions are clearly understandable for technicians and end users
- Collaborate with engineering and product teams to gather technical information
- Maintain documentation standards, consistency, and accuracy
- Review and update existing manuals and technical documents as required
Required Skills
- Experience in automotive technical authoring/documentation
- Good understanding of automobile parts, assemblies, and manufacturing processes
- Ability to interpret technical drawings and engineering data
- Knowledge of technical illustration and documentation tools preferred
- Strong written communication and attention to detail
- Understanding of service procedures and installation instructions
Preferred Software Knowledge
- Adobe Illustrator
- Adobe FrameMaker
- CorelDRAW
- Basic CAD drawing understanding preferred
