- Responsible for design systems for battery protection, charging and gauging.
- Responsible for develop engineering requirements specifications, test and validation plans for manufacturing and characterizing battery packs.
- Responsible for Test batteries at the module level and at the system level.
- Responsible to support prototype and engineering builds.
- Responsible to work with cross functional partners to integrate the battery into the final system.
- Responsible to work with vendors to develop custom and semi-custom ICs for battery management.
- Responsible to work with mechanical engineering team to develop battery modules and protection control systems
- Responsible to supplier management during the pack architecture development and during pack builds.
- Responsible to support the final assembly site to ensure proper integration of the battery into the final system.
- Responsible for rigorous failure analysis, root cause analysis, corrective action and communication to the cross functional teams on issues.
- Contribute to continuous improvement activities for existing products
- Carry out materials, formulation, and design evaluations for new products or new generations of products, including active materials, additives, separator, and electrolyte.
- Carry out electrode design optimizations to achieve customer/market requirements on performance, safety, reliability, and cost.
- Work closely with R&D and manufacturing engineering to develop and document electrode and cell pilot processes, and support their transfer to production.
Education: Graduation/post-graduation
Experience – 5+ years of relevant experience
