Job Summary
The Welder is responsible for performing welding, fabrication, cutting, and repair work on metal structures, equipment, and components while ensuring compliance with safety standards and quality requirements.
Key Responsibilities
- Perform welding using ARC, MIG, TIG, or Gas welding processes as required.
- Read and interpret engineering drawings, blueprints, and welding symbols.
- Cut, shape, and assemble metal components according to specifications.
- Inspect welds for quality, strength, and accuracy.
- Repair damaged metal parts, machinery, and equipment.
- Operate and maintain welding machines, grinders, and other fabrication tools.
- Ensure all work complies with company safety procedures and industry standards.
- Wear and maintain proper Personal Protective Equipment (PPE).
- Maintain housekeeping and keep the work area clean and organized.
- Report equipment defects, safety hazards, or quality issues to the supervisor.
- Assist in preventive maintenance and fabrication projects as assigned.
Qualification
- Minimum 10th Pass or equivalent.
- ITI in Welder Trade or equivalent welding certification preferred.
Experience
- Minimum 2–3 years of experience in industrial welding and fabrication.
- Experience in handling structural steel, piping, or heavy fabrication is preferred.
Skills Required
- Knowledge of various welding techniques (ARC, MIG, TIG, Gas Welding).
- Ability to read engineering drawings and fabrication layouts.
- Good understanding of welding safety practices.
- Knowledge of measuring instruments and fabrication tools.
- Basic troubleshooting and problem-solving skills.
- Ability to work independently and as part of a team.
Physical Requirements
- Physically fit and capable of lifting heavy materials.
- Ability to stand, bend, and work in confined spaces or at heights, when required.
- Good hand-eye coordination and manual dexterity.
Safety Requirements
- Strict adherence to all safety regulations and work permit systems.
- Mandatory use of PPE, including welding helmet, gloves, safety shoes, goggles, and protective clothing.
- Compliance with fire safety and hazard control procedures.
Working Conditions
- Industrial plants, manufacturing facilities, construction sites, or workshops.
- May require overtime, shift work, or travel to project sites based on operational requirements.
Pay: ₹15,000.00 - ₹25,000.00 per month
