Job Summary
We are seeking a highly qualified, passionate, and dedicated PGT English Teacher to teach senior secondary students. The ideal candidate should have excellent command of English language and literature, strong communication skills, and the ability to develop students’ reading, writing, speaking, critical-thinking, and analytical abilities.
Key Responsibilities
- Plan and deliver engaging and effective English lessons for senior secondary classes.
- Teach English Language and Literature according to the prescribed curriculum.
- Develop students’ grammar, vocabulary, reading, writing, speaking, and comprehension skills.
- Prepare lesson plans, notes, worksheets, assignments, question papers, and study materials.
- Ensure timely and effective completion of the prescribed syllabus.
- Conduct regular class tests, assessments, assignments, and examinations.
- Prepare students for Class 11 & 12 board examinations.
- Evaluate answer scripts, assignments, projects, and other academic work.
- Provide constructive feedback and identify areas requiring improvement.
- Encourage students to develop critical thinking, creativity, confidence, and effective communication skills.
- Conduct activities such as debates, group discussions, presentations, public speaking, creative writing, and reading sessions.
- Provide additional academic support and remedial classes to students when required.
- Maintain student attendance, academic records, assessment reports, and other documentation.
- Use digital resources, smart-class tools, presentations, and educational technology to enhance learning.
- Maintain a positive, disciplined, and inclusive classroom environment.
- Communicate with parents regarding students’ academic progress when required.
- Participate in staff meetings, teacher-training programs, workshops, examinations, and school events.
- Collaborate with other teachers and school management to improve students’ academic performance.
Required Qualifications
- Master’s Degree (M.A./M.Sc. where applicable) in English from a recognized university.
- B.Ed. from a recognized institution.
- Candidates fulfilling applicable PGT eligibility requirements will be preferred.
- Excellent command of spoken and written English.
- Strong knowledge of English grammar, language, and literature.
- Good communication and classroom-management skills.

Experience
2–5 years of teaching experience preferred, particularly at the senior-secondary level.
