Key Responsibilities of an Academic Counselor
- Counsel prospective students and professionals about available courses, certifications, and career opportunities.
- Understand students' educational background, career goals, and learning needs to recommend the most suitable program.
- Convert inquiries into admissions by effectively explaining course benefits, curriculum, fees, and placement support.
- Follow up with leads through calls, emails, WhatsApp, and virtual meetings to maximize enrollments.
- Build and maintain strong relationships with prospective and existing students.
- Handle admission documentation, application processing, and enrollment formalities.
- Achieve monthly and quarterly admission and revenue targets.
- Coordinate with faculty, trainers, and the operations team to ensure a smooth onboarding experience.
- Maintain accurate student records and update CRM or admission management systems.
- Address student queries and resolve concerns throughout the admission and learning journey.
- Participate in seminars, webinars, career guidance sessions, and promotional events.
- Provide regular reports on lead conversion, admissions, and counseling activities to management.
