Job Summary
The Education Counsellor (Sales) / Career Development Advisor plays a key role in guiding prospective learners through their educational journey. This position combines consultative counselling with strategic sales to help individuals identify academic programs that align with their career goals. The successful candidate will be responsible for driving enrollments, nurturing leads, and delivering an exceptional advisory experience that contributes to both student success and business growth.
Key Responsibilities
- Engage with prospective students through calls, emails, virtual meetings, and face-to-face interactions to understand their educational and career aspirations.
- Provide accurate, personalized, and comprehensive information about available online degree programs, course structures, university offerings, and career outcomes.
- Guide applicants throughout the admission and enrollment process, from initial inquiry to final registration.
- Consistently achieve or exceed monthly and quarterly enrollment and revenue targets through effective lead conversion.
- Maintain accurate records of student interactions, follow-ups, and application status updates using CRM systems.
- Build and maintain strong relationships with prospective learners through consultative selling and proactive engagement.
- Stay updated on competitor offerings, industry trends, and developments in online higher education to enhance counseling effectiveness.
Qualifications
- Bachelor's degree in any discipline. Degrees in Education, Psychology, Business Administration, or Marketing are preferred.
- 1–3 years of experience in sales, academic counselling, student advisory services, or online higher education counseling.
- Experience in online degree counseling is highly preferred.
- Familiarity with online learning platforms and digital education trends.
- Proficiency in MS Office Suite and CRM platforms such as LeadSquared (LSQ), Salesforce, Zoho, or similar tools.
- Strong communication, negotiation, and persuasion skills.
- Results-oriented mindset with the ability to perform in a target-driven environment.

Compensation
Salary: ₹25,000 – ₹45,000 per month
Incentives: Performance-based incentives in addition to fixed compensation.
