Job Title: Machine Operator
Department: Production
Reports To: Shift Supervisor / Production Manager
Job Summary
The Operator is responsible for operating and monitoring production machinery to ensure efficient, safe, and high-quality production. The role involves following standard operating procedures, meeting production targets, and maintaining workplace safety and cleanliness.
Key Responsibilities
- Operate machines and equipment as per standard operating procedures (SOPs)
- Ensure production targets are met within given timelines
- Monitor machine performance and report abnormalities or breakdowns
- Perform basic machine setup, adjustments, and routine maintenance
- Inspect finished products to ensure quality standards are met
- Record production data, downtime, and material usage accurately
- Follow safety guidelines and use personal protective equipment (PPE)
- Maintain cleanliness and organization of the work area
- Support continuous improvement and teamwork initiatives
- Comply with company policies, quality standards, and safety regulations
Qualifications & Skills
- Minimum education: Diploma in Mechanical / Chemical
- Basic knowledge of machine operations (manufacturing / production)
- Ability to read and understand instructions and safety guidelines
- Willingness to work shifts (day/night/rotational)
- Physically fit to handle standing work and manual tasks
- Attention to detail and quality awareness
- Good teamwork and communication skills
Experience
- Fresher or 0–3 years of experience in a manufacturing or production environment
- (Experience requirement may vary based on machine complexity)
Working Conditions
- Factory/plant environment
- Rotational shifts may be required
- Exposure to noise, heat, or machinery (safety equipment provided)
Pay: ₹15,000.00 - ₹25,000.00 per month
