- Develop detailed design drawings and specifications for HVAC systems using computer-aided design (CAD) software
- Collaborate with engineers and architects to understand project requirements and incorporate them into drawings
- Ensure that HVAC plans comply with industry standards and local building codes
- Calculate heating and cooling loads to determine the appropriate size and type of HVAC system components
