Job Purpose
To lead the Die Shop operations, ensuring availability of high-quality extrusion dies, optimizing die performance, reducing downtime, and supporting production efficiency through effective tooling management.
Key Responsibilities
- Manage complete Die Shop operations including die manufacturing, maintenance, correction, and modification.
- Ensure timely availability of dies as per production schedules.
- Monitor die life cycle and implement improvement initiatives.
- Coordinate with Design, Production, Quality, and Maintenance departments.
- Implement preventive maintenance schedules for dies.
- Lead troubleshooting of die-related production issues.
- Develop SOPs and best practices for die maintenance and storage.
- Manage manpower, productivity, and cost optimization initiatives.
Key Result Areas (KRAs)
- Die availability >98%.
- Reduction in die failure rates.
- Improvement in die life and productivity.
- Reduction in production losses due to die issues.
- Achievement of maintenance and cost targets.
- Team productivity and skill development.
Technical Requirements
- Aluminum extrusion die manufacturing.
- Tool steel properties and heat treatment.
- Die correction and modification techniques.
- CAD/CAM systems.
- TPM and Lean Manufacturing.
- Root Cause Analysis.
Qualification
BE/B.Tech (Mechanical/Production/Metallurgy)
Experience
15+ years in Extrusion Industry with at least 5 years in a leadership role.
Desired Skills
Leadership, analytical thinking, problem-solving, communication, planning and execution.

Pay: ₹100,000.00 - ₹125,000.00 per month
