About the Role
We are seeking a skilled and motivated Robotics Maintenance Engineer to join our team. The ideal candidate will be responsible for maintaining, troubleshooting, and optimizing robotic systems to ensure smooth production operations. This role is ideal for professionals with hands-on experience in industrial robotics, preventive maintenance, and automation systems.
Key Responsibilities
- Perform preventive, predictive, and breakdown maintenance of industrial robotic systems.
- Diagnose and troubleshoot electrical, mechanical, pneumatic, and robotic system faults.
- Ensure maximum equipment uptime through timely repairs and maintenance activities.
- Monitor robot performance and implement corrective actions to improve efficiency.
- Carry out routine inspections, calibration, and servicing of robotic equipment.
- Coordinate with production and engineering teams to minimize downtime.
- Maintain maintenance logs, service reports, and equipment history records.
- Ensure compliance with safety standards and company maintenance procedures.
- Support installation, commissioning, and testing of new robotic equipment when required.
- Identify opportunities for process improvements and equipment reliability enhancement.
Required Qualifications
- Diploma or Bachelor's Degree in Mechanical Engineering, Electrical Engineering, Mechatronics, Robotics, Automation, or a related field.
- 2–3 years of experience in industrial robotics maintenance or automation maintenance.
- Good understanding of PLCs, sensors, actuators, motors, drives, and industrial automation systems.
- Knowledge of preventive maintenance techniques and troubleshooting methodologies.
- Ability to read electrical and mechanical drawings.
- Strong analytical, problem-solving, and communication skills.
- Willingness to work in shifts if required.
Preferred Skills
- Experience with industrial robots such as ABB, FANUC, KUKA, Yaskawa, or similar platforms.
- Basic knowledge of robot programming and fault diagnostics.
- Familiarity with TPM, 5S, and Lean Manufacturing practices.
- Ability to work independently as well as within a team.
