Job Purpose
To manage shift operations by leading the shift team, ensuring proper manpower handling, maintaining vehicle availability for production, and implementing the highest HSE standards to achieve production objectives.
Key Responsibilities
- Monitor and control shift maintenance activities to ensure smooth operations and timely completion of assigned jobs.
- Ensure availability and healthy condition of vehicles and equipment through effective maintenance coordination and breakdown handling.
- Allocate manpower, monitor technician activities, guide team members, and ensure proper shift coordination.
- Ensure quality maintenance work and proper follow-up to avoid repeat failures and operational interruptions.
- Maintain housekeeping and implement 5S practices in workshop and operational areas.
- Follow and implement safety procedures, permit systems, toolbox talks, and report unsafe acts, unsafe conditions, and near misses.
- Maintain shift reports, breakdown records, job status, and effectively communicate operational issues to management.
- Prevent oil leakages and spillages, and ensure proper waste handling and disposal as per company guidelines.
- Promote and maintain a Zero Harm & Zero Injury culture.
Major Challenge
- Distribute manpower based on vehicle priorities while maintaining maximum vehicle availability and ensuring a safe workplace.
Qualification & Experience
- Degree / Diploma / B.Tech.
- Minimum 3 years of experience in industrial equipment maintenance.
Functional Skills
- Knowledge of industrial equipment maintenance.
- Manpower management skills.
- Basic computer proficiency.
Technical Requirements
- Sound knowledge of maintenance practices, equipment operation, and troubleshooting techniques related to industrial plants and technological vehicles.
- Knowledge of preventive, predictive, breakdown, and shutdown maintenance for mechanical, hydraulic, pneumatic, and electrical systems.
- Ability to perform fault diagnosis, Root Cause Analysis (RCA), equipment inspection, condition monitoring, and maintenance planning.
- Knowledge of lubrication management, spare parts management, work permit systems, safety procedures, and maintenance documentation.
- Familiarity with SAP, MIS reporting, Microsoft Excel, Word, PowerPoint, and the ability to adapt to new maintenance software and digital systems.

Pay: ₹30,000.00 - ₹38,000.00 per month
