About the Role
We are seeking a dynamic and result-oriented International Sales Manager to drive domestic and international B2B sales of menthol, mint derivatives, essential oils, aroma chemicals, and allied products. The ideal candidate will have strong experience in export sales, client relationship management, business development, and handling customers across global markets.
Key Responsibilities
- Drive domestic and international B2B sales of menthol, mint derivatives, essential oils, and aroma chemicals.
- Build, develop, and maintain long-term relationships with clients across the FMCG, Pharmaceutical, Flavour & Fragrance, Oral Care, Confectionery, and Personal Care industries in Europe, USA, Japan, Southeast Asia, the Middle East, and other international markets.
- Generate new business opportunities through IndiaMART, Alibaba, company website enquiries, LinkedIn, email campaigns, export intelligence platforms (Volza, ImportYeti, etc.), and direct customer outreach.
- Conduct market research to identify new applications, customer segments, and business opportunities while developing a targeted customer database.
- Maintain a comprehensive customer master database, including prospects, quotations, samples, certifications, pricing, contact history, and business opportunities.
- Track enquiries from initial contact through quotation, sampling, negotiation, order confirmation, production, dispatch, and post-sales support.
- Prepare quotations and negotiate pricing, payment terms, Incoterms, contracts, and annual supply agreements.
- Coordinate customer sample requests and provide technical documentation such as COAs, MSDS, product specifications, declarations, and compliance documents.
- Work closely with Production, Quality Control, Procurement, Planning, Dispatch, Logistics, and Finance teams to ensure timely order execution and customer satisfaction.
- Monitor production schedules, shipment status, export documentation, and delivery timelines.
- Prepare and maintain pending order trackers, ensuring continuous follow-up until dispatch, payment realization, and order closure.
- Handle customer complaints, quality issues, claims, and corrective actions professionally while maintaining strong client relationships.
- Maintain accurate CRM records of enquiries, quotations, customer interactions, follow-up schedules, and sales activities.
- Prepare monthly sales forecasts, pipeline reports, revenue projections, MIS reports, and management dashboards.
- Monitor competitor activities, pricing trends, raw material movements, and international market developments.
- Collaborate with the marketing team to develop brochures, product catalogues, presentations, newsletters, website content, and other sales collateral.
- Represent the company at domestic and international trade fairs, exhibitions, conferences, customer visits, and supplier meetings.
- Conduct regular customer review meetings and strengthen strategic relationships with key accounts.
- Achieve monthly, quarterly, and annual sales, collection, and profitability targets.
- Support demand forecasting and inventory planning based on customer commitments and market trends.
- Coordinate with the Finance team for payment follow-ups, credit control, and customer account reconciliation.
Required Qualifications
- Bachelor's degree in Business Administration, Marketing, International Business, Commerce, or a related field (MBA preferred).
- 5–7 years of experience in international B2B sales, preferably in menthol, mint products, essential oils, aroma chemicals, flavours & fragrances, chemicals, or allied industries.
- Strong understanding of export documentation, Incoterms, international trade practices, and global customer management.
- Experience with CRM software, Microsoft Excel, ERP systems, and sales reporting tools.
- Proven ability to manage key accounts and generate new international business.
- Excellent communication, negotiation, presentation, and relationship management skills.
- Willingness to travel domestically and internationally for business meetings, exhibitions, and customer visits.
