Role: Consultant – IoT Cloud (AWS IoT)

About the Role
We are looking for a highly experienced Senior Backend Consultant – AWS IoT to design, develop, and maintain secure, scalable, and high-performance cloud-based backend solutions for connected IoT products. The ideal candidate should have strong expertise in AWS IoT, Node.js, serverless architecture, and cloud-native application development.
Key Responsibilities
Design and develop secure, scalable, and highly available AWS cloud infrastructure
Build and maintain backend services using Node.js, Java, and Python
Develop serverless applications using AWS services
Integrate IoT devices with cloud platforms using MQTT, WebSocket, and CoAP
Build secure REST & GraphQL APIs with OAuth 2.0 and JWT authentication
Collaborate with firmware, mobile, and external client teams for integrations
Optimize application performance, monitoring, and logging
Perform code reviews and maintain technical documentation
Required Skills & Experience
9–15 years of backend development experience
Strong expertise in Node.js, Java, and Python
Hands-on experience with AWS IoT Core and IoT cloud architectures
Experience with bidirectional IoT communication and device management
Strong knowledge of REST APIs, GraphQL, SQL & NoSQL databases
Experience with CI/CD pipelines and cloud-native deployments
Technical Requirements
Languages: JavaScript, Node.js 24.x, Java, Python
AWS: Lambda, API Gateway, AppSync, Step Functions, IoT Core, DynamoDB, RDS, Aurora, S3, CloudFormation/CDK, CloudWatch, OpenSearch, Cognito, IAM, KMS, SNS, SQS, EventBridge, Route 53, STS, Secrets Manager, Parameter Store
IoT: MQTT, WebSocket, CoAP, IoT Device Shadows, IoT Topic Rules, IoT Policies, IoT Certificates (JITR)
Databases: DynamoDB, RDS, Aurora, SQL, NoSQL, Elasticsearch, OpenSearch
Additional Expertise
Serverless architecture and cloud-native application development
Infrastructure as Code (CloudFormation/CDK)
API integrations with firmware and mobile applications
Performance monitoring, logging, and optimization
Security implementation using OAuth 2.0 and JWT
