Job Description
We are looking for an experienced and passionate Art & Design Tutor to support students preparing for Cambridge IGCSE, AS Level and A Level Art & Design.
The ideal candidate will have strong knowledge of the Cambridge curriculum and assessment requirements, along with the ability to guide students in developing high-quality coursework, portfolios, sketchbooks and final outcomes.
Key Responsibilities
- Teach Art & Design to students at Cambridge IGCSE, AS & A Level.
- Guide students through coursework, portfolio development and examination preparation.
- Help students understand and meet Cambridge assessment objectives and criteria.
- Provide detailed, constructive feedback to improve students' artistic work.
- Support students in developing their individual artistic style, concepts and creative processes.
- Monitor student progress and provide personalised academic guidance.
- Prepare students effectively for Cambridge examinations and coursework submissions.
Required Skills & Experience
- Previous experience teaching IGCSE / AS Level / A Level Art & Design.
- Strong understanding of the Cambridge International Art & Design curriculum.
- Excellent knowledge of coursework and portfolio requirements.
- Strong communication, mentoring and feedback skills.
- Relevant qualification or professional background in Art, Fine Art, Art & Design, Design or a related field.
- A strong portfolio and demonstrated experience working with students is preferred.
Preferred / Bonus Experience
Candidates with the following experience will be given strong preference:
- Official Cambridge Examiner for Art & Design.
- Cambridge Coursework Moderator experience.
- Experience assessing or moderating IGCSE / AS & A Level Art & Design coursework.
- In-depth knowledge of Cambridge marking standards and assessment objectives.
