Summary:
Workday Integration Studio Developer designs, builds, and supports complex integrations between Workday and other internal or third-party systems using Workday Studio, EIB, Core Connectors, and Workday Web Services (SOAP/REST).
This role is crucial in ensuring seamless data flow across HR, payroll, finance, and business systems.
Key Responsibilities
Integration Development: Design, build, test, deploy, and support new and existing integrations using the full suite of Workday integration tools, including:
o Workday Studio: Develop complex, custom integrations using Assembly Components, handling error logging, reporting, and performance tuning.
o Core Connectors: Utilize Core Connector Worker and Document Transformation to build reliable integrations.
o EIBs (Enterprise Interface Builders): Develop inbound and outbound EIBs for simple data transfers.
o Workday Web Services: Utilize SOAP, REST, WSDL, XSLT, and XML technologies for data manipulation and transfer.
Finance Integration Expertise: Specialize in building and maintaining integrations involving Workday Financial Management modules, such as General Ledger, Accounts Payable, Accounts Receivable, Procurement, and Expense Management.
Collaboration: Work closely with functional analysts, business stakeholders, and project managers to gather requirements, troubleshoot issues, and ensure integrations meet business needs.
Maintenance & Support: Provide ongoing support, maintenance, and monitoring of existing integrations to ensure data accuracy and system stability. Troubleshoot and resolve integration errors promptly.
Documentation & Testing: Create comprehensive technical documentation, including design specifications, test plans, and deployment guides. Conduct thorough unit testing and support user acceptance testing (UAT).
Updates & Compliance: Stay current with Workday releases and enhancements, assessing impact on existing integrations and ensuring compliance with all security and data privacy standards.
Required Qualifications & Skills
2–5+ years of hands-on experience in Workday integration development.
Hands-on experience with:
o Workday Studio (With a minimum of 1-2 SI Implementation hands on)
o EIBs (Inbound and Outbound)
o Core Connectors (e.g., Payroll, Benefits, Recruiting, Financials)
o Workday Web Services (SOAP/REST APIs)
o XSLT, XML, XPath, JSON, and web service protocols
Strong understanding of Workday Business Objects, Reports, and Calculated Fields.
Familiarity with Workday HCM, Payroll, Benefits, or Financials modules.
Strong problem-solving and debugging skills.
Excellent written and verbal communication skills.
Preferred Qualifications
Must have Workday Integration Certification or Workday Studio Certification (highly preferred).
