Key ResponsibilitiesProcurement
- Source and procure raw materials, packing materials, consumables, engineering spares, and other indirect materials.
- Obtain quotations from approved vendors and prepare comparative statements.
- Negotiate prices, payment terms, delivery schedules, and commercial conditions.
- Prepare and issue Purchase Orders (POs) as per approved purchase requisitions.
- Ensure timely procurement to avoid production interruptions.
Vendor Management
- Identify and develop new suppliers.
- Maintain good relationships with existing vendors.
- Evaluate vendor performance based on quality, cost, delivery, and service.
- Coordinate with vendors for timely delivery and issue resolution.
Inventory Coordination
- Coordinate with Stores to monitor stock levels.
- Ensure optimum inventory by avoiding shortages and excess stock.
- Track material requirements based on production plans.
Documentation & Compliance
- Maintain purchase records, quotations, purchase orders, and vendor documents.
- Ensure compliance with company procurement procedures.
- Verify invoices against purchase orders and goods receipt before processing for payment.
- Maintain accurate procurement data in ERP/software.
Coordination
- Coordinate with Production, Quality, Engineering, Stores, Accounts, and Logistics departments.
- Follow up with suppliers regarding dispatch schedules and delivery commitments.
- Resolve procurement-related issues promptly.
Cost Control
- Identify opportunities for cost reduction.
- Monitor market price trends and recommend alternative sources.
- Support annual cost-saving initiatives.
Reporting
- Prepare daily, weekly, and monthly purchase reports.
- Update management on pending purchase orders, vendor performance, and material availability.
Qualifications
- Bachelor's Degree in Commerce, Business Administration, Engineering, Supply Chain Management, or a related field.
Experience
- 2–5 years of experience in Purchase/Procurement in a manufacturing industry.
- Experience in Herbal, Pharmaceutical, FMCG, Chemical, or Food manufacturing will be an added advantage.
Pay: ₹15,000.00 - ₹22,000.00 per month
