We are seeking a passionate and experienced SAT English Instructor to join our team and help students achieve their academic goals. The ideal candidate will have a strong grasp of Digital SAT Reading & Writing concepts and the ability to teach reading comprehension, grammar, rhetoric, and writing skills effectively. In addition to the SAT, the role involves supporting students preparing for IB English (Language & Literature / Literature) and IGCSE English (First Language English, Literature in English, and ESL), making versatility across curricula a key strength. The ability to additionally support IELTS candidates is a valued plus.
Key Responsibilities:
- Conduct concept classes, practice sessions, and test analyses for the Digital SAT Reading & Writing section (both modules).
- Teach core skills including reading comprehension, command of evidence, words in context, grammar and conventions, sentence structure, transitions, and rhetorical synthesis.
- Support students in IB English coursework and assessments (Paper 1 unseen text analysis, Paper 2 comparative essays, IOs, and written tasks) and IGCSE English (directed writing, composition, comprehension, and literary analysis).
- Design and review practice tests, worksheets, reading passages, and homework assignments using tools such as MS Word.
- Track student progress, identify learning gaps, and provide detailed, actionable feedback on writing and reading performance.
- Collaborate with the academic team to maintain quality and consistency in teaching methodology across SAT, IB, and IGCSE.
- Optionally, assist in creating SAT-style questions, vocabulary resources, formatted documents, and digital learning materials.
Required Skills & Qualifications:
- Bachelor's or higher degree in English, Literature, Linguistics, Journalism, Education, or a related field.
- Excellent command over English grammar, reading comprehension, and academic/analytical writing.
- Proficiency in MS Word for preparing structured, well-formatted academic materials.
- Prior experience with SAT / ACT / GRE / GMAT verbal tutoring preferred.
- Familiarity with IB and IGCSE English assessment criteria and mark schemes is a strong advantage.
- Strong communication and interpersonal skills.
- Familiarity with the Digital SAT format and question styles is an advantage.

- Passion for teaching, mentoring, and developing students' critical reading and writing abilities.
- Ability to additionally support IELTS candidates across all four modules (Listening, Reading, Writing, and Speaking), with familiarity with the band descriptors.
- Analytical mindset with attention to detail and strong feedback skills.
- Ability to motivate students to achieve 750–800 scores on the SAT and top grades in IB/IGCSE English.
- Willingness to continuously learn and adapt to evolving SAT patterns and curriculum updates.
