Job Title: Hydrogenation Operator/ Chemist

Key Responsibilities
- Reactor Operation: Safely handle high-pressure Hydrogenation Autoclaves / Loop Reactors. Monitor and regulate critical process parameters such as hydrogen pressure, temperature, flow rates, and agitation speeds.
- Catalyst Handling: Safely charge and handle hazardous and pyrophoric catalysts (like Raney Nickel, Palladium on Carbon) following standard operating procedures (SOPs) to avoid exposure or fire hazards.
- Process Monitoring: Perform regular field checks on reactor seals, valves, pressure safety valves (PSVs), cooling systems, and gas line integrity to prevent leakages.
- Filtration & Mass Transfer: Operate sparkling filters, centrifuge machines, and pressure leaf filters for post-hydrogenation catalyst separation and mass transfer activities.
- Logbook Maintenance: Keep precise hourly records of batch progress, chemical charging weights, utility consumption, and key process deviations in the shift log sheets.
- Safety & Compliance: Strictly follow Work Permit Systems (Cold, Hot, Vessel Entry). Wear appropriate PPEs (static-resistant clothing, respirators) and respond effectively during emergency venting or gas leak situations.
