Job Title: Mechanical Laboratory Specialist – Building Materials (ISO/IEC 17025)
Job Summary
We are looking for a Mechanical Testing Engineer experienced in evaluating building and construction materials in an ISO/IEC 17025–accredited laboratory. The role includes testing the physical and mechanical properties of materials such as cement, concrete, aggregates, steel reinforcement, asphalt, and masonry units, while ensuring strict adherence to quality, calibration, and reporting standards.
Key Responsibilities
- Perform Mechanical and physical testing on cement, Building material concrete, mortar, aggregates, Stainless steel, TMT, Bitumen, HDP Pipe Etc related building materials
- Proficiency with mechanical testing machines and tools (UTM, compression frame, slump tester, CTM, Humidity, UPV, PIT CHSL Bricks sieving equipment, ovens, Hardness (Rebound Hammer for concrete) curing systems)
- Prepare test reports, calibration records, and technical documentation in accordance with ISO/IEC 17025 requirements
- Support method validation, uncertainty calculations, proficiency testing, and equipment calibration
- Investigate nonconformities and implement corrective and preventive actions (CAPA)
Maintain laboratory records, SOPs, and documentation for audits and inspections Ensure compliance with standards (ASTM, IS, BS, EN, etc.)
· Experience in building material mechanical testing and metal testing also
· Communicate results and technical issues with QA, project engineers, and external customers.
· All testing report knowledge
Required Skills & Qualifications
Technical Skills
· Strong knowledge of construction and building materials including concrete, mortar, aggregates, asphalt, and steel
· Proficiency with mechanical testing machines and tools (UTM, compression frame, slump tester, sieving equipment, ovens, curing systems)
· Hands-on experience with ISO/IEC 17025 requirements:
· Test method verification and validation
· Measurement uncertainty
· Equipment calibration and traceability
· Document control and internal audits
· Ability to interpret standards (ASTM, EN, BS, ACI, AASHTO)
· Understanding of QA/QC testing workflows and reporting
· Troubleshooting skills in test failures, machine errors, and sample issues
· Facing NABL ,BIS Audit According 17025.

Education & Experience.
- Bachelor’s degree in Mechanical Engineering, Civil Engineering, Materials Engineering, or related field.
- 2–3+ years’ experience in building materials testing or construction chemical laboratories
Experience in an ISO/IEC 17025–accredited mechanical is required or strongly preferred
Pay: ₹40,000.00 - ₹45,000.00 per month
