1. JOB PURPOSE
The Discipline Teacher is responsible for maintaining a safe, respectful, disciplined, and positive school environment. The role involves monitoring student conduct, enforcing school rules and policies, addressing behavioural concerns, and promoting good values, responsibility, punctuality, and appropriate behaviour among students.
2. KEY RESPONSIBILITIESA. Student Discipline & Behaviour Management
- Monitor student behaviour across classrooms, corridors, playgrounds, cafeterias, assembly areas, and other common areas.
- Ensure students follow the school's rules, regulations, uniform standards, and code of conduct.
- Address cases of indiscipline, misconduct, bullying, inappropriate behaviour, and violation of school policies.
- Maintain discipline during school assemblies, breaks, dispersal, events, and transitions between classes.
- Counsel students regarding appropriate behaviour and help them understand the consequences of misconduct.
- Maintain records of disciplinary incidents and follow up on repeated behavioural concerns.
- Escalate serious or repeated disciplinary matters to the Principal / Vice Principal as per school procedures.
- Work closely with class teachers and coordinators to identify students requiring behavioural support.
B. Punctuality & Attendance Monitoring
- Monitor student punctuality and movement within the school campus.
- Follow up on repeated late-coming and unauthorized absence.
- Coordinate with class teachers and the administration regarding attendance-related discipline concerns.
- Ensure students are present in their designated areas during school hours.
C. Campus Supervision
- Conduct regular rounds of the school premises to ensure discipline and student safety.
- Monitor students during arrival, recess, lunch, dispersal, and other transition periods.
- Ensure students do not enter restricted areas without authorization.
- Monitor student movement during free periods and activity periods.
- Support safe and orderly movement of students during school events and emergency situations.
D. Behavioural Counselling & Student Development
- Promote positive discipline rather than punitive measures wherever appropriate.
- Encourage students to develop respect, responsibility, empathy, teamwork, and self-discipline.
- Conduct individual or group counselling related to behavioural concerns, in coordination with the Counsellor / School Leadership.
- Help students understand the impact of their actions and encourage corrective behaviour.
- Promote a positive school culture based on mutual respect and dignity.
E. Anti-Bullying & Student Safety
- Monitor and report incidents involving bullying, harassment, intimidation, fighting, or unsafe behaviour.
- Support the school's anti-bullying and child-safety initiatives.
- Immediately report serious student safety or safeguarding concerns to the designated authority.
- Maintain strict professional boundaries with students.
- Follow the school's child protection, safeguarding, POCSO, and No Touch policies.
F. Coordination & Documentation
- Maintain proper documentation of disciplinary incidents, warnings, counselling, and follow-up actions.
- Prepare periodic discipline reports for the Principal / Vice Principal.
- Coordinate with teachers, coordinators, counsellors, parents, and school leadership when required.
- Participate in disciplinary committee meetings where applicable.
- Ensure confidentiality while handling sensitive student matters.
G. School Events & Activities
- Maintain discipline during assemblies, examinations, sports events, field trips, celebrations, and other school programmes.
- Support crowd management and orderly movement of students.
- Ensure students follow event-specific instructions and safety guidelines.
- Assist the administration during emergency drills and evacuation procedures.
3. QUALIFICATION
- Bachelor's degree in any discipline from a recognized university.
- B.Ed. / Diploma in Education / qualification in Physical Education or related field will be an advantage.
- Knowledge of CBSE school procedures and student discipline practices preferred.
4. EXPERIENCE
- Minimum 2–3 years of experience in a school environment.
- Previous experience in student discipline, school administration, pastoral care, or student management will be preferred.
- Experience in a CBSE school will be an added advantage.

Pay: ₹28,000.00 - ₹40,000.00 per month
