Purpose
This role is responsible for providing leadership, successful execution of allotted projects. This role involves coordinating with various stakeholders, managing project schedules, ensuring adherence to quality standards, and delivering projects on time and within budget. Driving continuous improvement, cost saving.
Role and Responsibilities
1 Develop Safety Policies and Plans
- Create and implement policies and plans aimed at reducing employee risk and ensuring a safe working environment.
2 Administer Injury Programs
- Oversee occupational injured workers programs and manage Workers’ Compensation processes.
3 Site Administration & Management
- Handle site administration promptly which includes workplace, store, food, stay, travel & medical emergencies.
- Follow the detailed project execution plans, schedules, manpower plan and resources.
- Update and share project progress and performance with Client and HO. Supervise project work. Ensuring timely completion.
4 Enforce Safety Standards
- Enforce company policies, procedures, and relevant Safety and Health Regulations and Standards to ensure compliance.
5 Monitor Work in Progress
- Observe ongoing work activities, ensuring that safety equipment is used correctly and procedures are followed.
6 Hazard Analysis and Ergonomic Assessments
- Conduct hazard analyses and develop ergonomic risk assessments for both public and non-public areas.
7 Employee Safety Training
- Ensure employees receive necessary safety training and hands-on instruction for safe work practices.
8 Team Management
- Build and maintain strong relationships with client, internal departments and site team. Communicate project status, milestones, and key decisions to stakeholders in a clear and timely manner in prescribed format.
9 Incident Review and Prevention
- Review near-miss incidents and accidents, and provide recommendations to prevent future occurrences.
10 Report Preparation
- Prepare narrative reports on incidents that impact project progress, including detailed analysis and suggested measures.
11 Safety and Hazard Control Programs
- Execute effective safety, hazard control, and industrial hygiene programs within the workplace.
12 Evaluate risks and hazards and suggest for corrective action.
13 Interpret, apply and explain suitable safety and environmental laws, codes and guidelines.
Qualifications and Experience
Education:
Graduate / Under graduate with Certificate of Safety management from reputed institute
Experience:
Minimum of 2 years of experience in a safety officer role or similar position.
Skills:
- Ability to conduct thorough investigations and produce detailed reports.
- Strong analytical and problem-solving skills.
- Proficiency in using safety management software and tools.
- Excellent communication and training skills.
Pay: Up to ₹500,000.00 per year
