School Nurse
Role Overview
The School Nurse is responsible for providing first aid, emergency medical care, maintaining student health records, and promoting a safe and healthy school environment.
Key Responsibilities
- Provide first aid and emergency care to students and staff.
- Maintain health records and medical documentation.
- Administer prescribed medications with proper authorization.
- Monitor students with medical conditions and provide necessary support.
- Conduct health awareness and hygiene programs.
- Coordinate with parents, hospitals, and healthcare professionals when required.
- Ensure the school infirmary is adequately stocked and maintained.
- Support health and safety initiatives of the school.
Qualifications
- GNM (General Nursing & Midwifery) or B.Sc. Nursing – Mandatory.
- Valid Nursing Registration with the State Nursing Council – Mandatory.
- CPR & First Aid Certification – Preferred.
Experience
- Minimum 2 years of experience in a school, hospital, or healthcare setting preferred.
Skills
- First aid and emergency response.
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
- Record management and documentation.
- Compassionate and child-friendly approach.
- Ability to handle medical emergencies calmly.
- Computer skills.
Pay: ₹15,000.00 - ₹20,000.00 per month
