Job Summary
We are seeking a highly skilled Senior QA Automation Test Engineer with strong expertise in Playwright using TypeScript/JavaScript. The ideal candidate will be responsible for designing, developing, and maintaining scalable automation frameworks, ensuring high-quality software delivery in an Agile environment.
Playwright experience is mandatory for this role.
Key Responsibilities
- Design, develop, and maintain automation test frameworks using Playwright (TypeScript/JavaScript)
- Write robust, reusable, and maintainable automated test scripts
- Perform functional, regression, integration, and end-to-end testing
- Collaborate with developers, product managers, and QA teams to understand requirements and define test strategies
- Integrate automated tests into CI/CD pipelines (e.g., Jenkins, GitHub Actions, Azure DevOps)
- Execute test suites, analyze results, and report defects with proper documentation
- Perform API testing and validate backend services
- Participate in code reviews and ensure adherence to QA best practices
- Improve test coverage, reduce manual efforts, and enhance automation efficiency
- Mentor junior QA engineers and contribute to team knowledge sharing
Required Skills & Qualifications
- 5–8 years of experience in Software Testing / QA Automation
- Strong hands-on experience with Playwright (Mandatory)
- Proficiency in TypeScript and JavaScript
- Experience in automation framework design and development
- Good understanding of Web technologies (HTML, CSS, DOM)
- Experience in API testing (Postman, REST Assured, or similar tools)
- Strong knowledge of SDLC/STLC and Agile methodologies (Scrum/Kanban)
- Experience with version control systems (Git)
- Hands-on experience with CI/CD tools
- Strong debugging, analytical, and problem-solving skills
Good to Have
- Experience with BDD frameworks (Cucumber)
- Knowledge of performance testing tools (JMeter, k6)
- Exposure to cloud platforms (AWS, Azure, GCP)
- Experience with containerization tools like Docker
- Familiarity with cross-browser and cross-platform testing strategies

Education
- Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, IT, or related field
