Roles & Responsibilities
1. Quality Control Management
- Lead and supervise the Quality Control team across all production shifts.
- Ensure compliance with quality standards at every stage of production.
- Review daily QC reports and take corrective actions where necessary.
- Monitor product quality trends and implement preventive measures.
2. Raw Material Inspection
- Approve incoming raw materials, ingredients, and packaging materials based on specifications.
- Ensure supplier materials meet quality and food safety requirements.
- Coordinate with Procurement for supplier quality issues and corrective actions.
3. In-Process Quality Control
- Monitor production processes to ensure compliance with Standard Operating Procedures (SOPs).
- Conduct in-process inspections and quality checks.
- Verify critical control points (CCPs) and process parameters.
- Ensure corrective actions are implemented for deviations.
4. Finished Product Inspection
- Approve finished products before dispatch.
- Ensure products meet customer specifications and regulatory requirements.
- Monitor product appearance, weight, temperature, packaging integrity, and labeling accuracy.
- Investigate product rejections and customer complaints.
5. Food Safety & Regulatory Compliance
- Ensure compliance with:
- FSSAI Regulations
- HACCP
- GMP (Good Manufacturing Practices)
- GHP (Good Hygiene Practices)
- ISO 22000 / BRCGS / FSSC 22000 (as applicable)
- Verify implementation of food safety management systems.
- Ensure allergen control and prevention of cross-contamination.
6. Laboratory & Testing
- Oversee physical, chemical, and microbiological testing of products.
- Ensure testing equipment is calibrated and maintained.
- Review laboratory test results and initiate corrective actions when required.
7. Documentation & Record Keeping
Maintain and review:
- QC inspection reports
- Batch records
- Non-conformance reports (NCR)
- Corrective and Preventive Action (CAPA) records
- Calibration records
- Product release records
- CCP monitoring records
- Temperature logs
- Customer complaint reports
- Internal audit reports
8. Audit Management
- Prepare the facility for internal, customer, and regulatory audits.
- Coordinate with auditors during inspections.
- Ensure timely closure of audit observations and non-conformities.
- Monitor CAPA implementation and effectiveness.
9. Team Leadership
- Train QC Executives and Inspectors on quality systems and food safety requirements.
- Conduct performance reviews and skill development programs.
- Ensure manpower planning and shift coverage.
- Promote a culture of quality and continuous improvement.
10. Customer Complaint Handling
- Investigate customer complaints related to product quality.
- Perform root cause analysis (RCA).
- Implement corrective and preventive actions.
- Monitor complaint trends and recommend improvements.
11. Continuous Improvement
- Drive quality improvement initiatives to reduce defects and wastage.
- Participate in Kaizen, Lean Manufacturing, and 5S activities.
- Support new product development (NPD) and validation trials.
- Recommend process improvements to enhance product quality.
12. Cross-Functional Coordination
- Work closely with Production, Maintenance, Engineering, Warehouse, and Procurement teams.
- Ensure quality requirements are integrated into production planning.
- Support supplier quality improvement programs.
Pay: Up to ₹40,000.00 per month
