Kitchen Helper – Job Description

We are looking for a hardworking and dependable Kitchen Helper to support our kitchen team with food preparation, cleaning, and daily kitchen operations. This role is ideal for someone eager to learn and grow in a professional kitchen environment.
Key Responsibilities
- Assist chefs with basic food preparation, including washing, peeling, chopping, and portioning ingredients.
- Maintain cleanliness and organization of kitchen work areas.
- Help with receiving, storing, and organizing supplies and deliveries.
- Ensure ingredients and equipment are prepared for service.
- Assist with cleaning kitchen equipment, utensils, and workstations.
- Follow food safety, hygiene, and sanitation standards at all times.
- Support the kitchen team during busy service periods.
- Perform other kitchen duties as assigned by senior chefs.
Requirements
- Previous kitchen experience is preferred but not required.
- Ability to work in a fast-paced environment.
- Good physical stamina and ability to stand for extended periods.
- Strong work ethic and willingness to learn.
- Ability to work well as part of a team.
- Understanding of basic kitchen hygiene practices is an advantage.
- Flexibility to work weekends, holidays, and evening shifts.
