1. Job Purpose
The Security Supervisor is responsible for ensuring the safety and security of hotel guests, employees, visitors, assets, and premises. The position involves supervising security personnel, monitoring security systems, preventing unauthorized access, responding to emergencies, and maintaining high standards of security in accordance with hotel policies and procedures.
2. Key ResponsibilitiesSecurity Operations
- Supervise and coordinate the day-to-day activities of the Security Department.
- Allocate duties and posts to security personnel according to the shift schedule and operational requirements.
- Conduct regular patrols of guest areas, back-of-house areas, staff entrances, parking areas, staff quarters, stores, and other sensitive locations.
- Monitor all entry and exit points of the hotel.
- Ensure proper control of employees, contractors, vendors, visitors, and vehicles entering and leaving the premises.
- Monitor CCTV cameras and other security and surveillance systems.
- Ensure restricted areas are accessed only by authorized personnel.
- Maintain proper control of master keys, access cards, and other security-sensitive items.
Guest & Employee Safety
- Ensure the safety and security of hotel guests, employees, and visitors.
- Respond promptly to guest complaints, disturbances, suspicious activities, theft, loss of property, and other security incidents.
- Handle difficult situations professionally while maintaining guest confidentiality and service standards.
- Assist in maintaining security during VIP movements, conferences, banquets, weddings, and other hotel events.
- Monitor staff movements and ensure compliance with hotel security procedures.
Emergency & Fire Safety
- Respond immediately to fire alarms, medical emergencies, accidents, security threats, and other emergency situations.
- Assist in evacuation procedures and ensure emergency exits and fire escape routes remain clear.
- Coordinate with the Engineering and Fire & Safety teams during emergencies.
- Assist in conducting fire drills, emergency drills, and security exercises.
- Ensure security personnel are familiar with emergency procedures and assembly points.
- Coordinate with Police, Fire & Rescue Services, Ambulance Services, and other emergency agencies whenever required.
Incident Management & Reporting
- Record and report all security incidents, accidents, suspicious activities, and unusual occurrences.
- Prepare detailed incident reports and submit them to the Security Manager/Management.
- Maintain security registers, occurrence books, visitor records, vehicle records, and other required documentation.
- Assist management in investigating theft, loss, damage, unauthorized access, and other security-related incidents.
- Maintain confidentiality of all security-related information.
Lost & Found
- Supervise the collection, recording, storage, and handover of lost and found articles according to hotel policy.
- Ensure proper documentation and secure storage of valuable items.
- Coordinate with the Front Office and concerned departments regarding guest lost-and-found matters.
Team Supervision
- Brief security staff at the beginning of each shift regarding duties, special instructions, VIP movements, events, and potential security concerns.
- Monitor the attendance, discipline, grooming, alertness, and performance of security personnel.
- Conduct regular inspections of security posts.
- Provide on-the-job guidance and training to security staff.
- Ensure security personnel remain alert and do not leave assigned posts without authorization.
Coordination
- Coordinate with Front Office, Housekeeping, F&B, Engineering, HR, Accounts, Stores, and other departments on security matters.
- Assist management during special events, functions, inspections, and emergencies.
- Coordinate with external agencies and authorities whenever required and authorized by management.
3. Qualifications & Experience
- Minimum Plus Two qualification; Diploma/Degree in Security Management, Hotel Management, or a related field is preferred.
- Minimum 3–5 years of experience in security operations, preferably in a four-star/five-star hotel.
- Previous experience in a supervisory position is preferred.
- Experience in hospitality security operations will be an added advantage.
- Knowledge of CCTV surveillance, access control, fire safety, and emergency procedures.

- Effective coordination with hotel departments and emergency authorities.
6. General Responsibilities
The Security Supervisor shall perform all duties in accordance with the hotel's SOPs, security policies, fire and life-safety requirements, statutory regulations, and management instructions, while maintaining the highest standards of professionalism, confidentiality, guest safety, and service.
Pay: ₹18,000.00 - ₹25,000.00 per month
